DigitalOcean
Connect DigitalOcean to automatically monitor your Droplets, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud resources for compliance evidence.
What is DigitalOcean?
DigitalOcean is a cloud provider popular with startups and development teams for hosting servers, databases, and applications. This integration allows Imara to monitor your DigitalOcean resources and automatically collect compliance evidence.
What Imara collects from DigitalOcean
- Droplet (virtual machine) inventory and configurations
- Team member access and roles
- Firewall rules and network configurations
- Managed database configurations
- Kubernetes cluster settings (if applicable)
Required permissions
Imara connects via a DigitalOcean API token with read-only scope. Generate one in DigitalOcean → API → Tokens/Keys — select Read scope only. No write permissions are required.
How to connect
- In DigitalOcean, go to API → Tokens/Keys and generate a new token with Read scope.
- In Imara, go to Integrations and select DigitalOcean.
- Paste the API token and click Connect.
- Imara will validate the token and begin the initial sync.
Frameworks supported
SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF.
What to expect
After connection, Imara monitors your DigitalOcean environment and surfaces configuration findings — such as open firewall rules or unprotected resources — linked to relevant controls in your active frameworks.
