Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

Connect Oracle Cloud to collect evidence from your OCI environment and satisfy infrastructure controls in your compliance frameworks.

What is Oracle Cloud Infrastructure?

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is Oracle's cloud platform. Organizations using OCI for workloads, databases, or infrastructure can connect this integration to give Imara visibility into their cloud security posture and collect compliance evidence automatically.

What Imara collects from OCI

  • IAM users, groups, and policies
  • MFA enforcement status for IAM users
  • Compartment and tenancy configurations
  • Audit log status and retention settings
  • Object Storage bucket access and encryption configurations

Required OCI permissions

Imara requires an OCI user with read-only IAM policies. The minimum required is Inspect and Read access to the relevant resources. Imara does not create, modify, or delete any OCI resource.

How to connect

  1. In OCI, create a dedicated user (or use an existing one) and attach read-only IAM policies.
  2. Generate API signing keys for that user in OCI Console → User Settings → API Keys.
  3. In Imara, go to Integrations and select Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
  4. Enter your Tenancy OCID, User OCID, region, fingerprint, and private key.
  5. Click Connect to complete the setup.

Frameworks supported

SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF.

What to expect

After connecting, Imara scans your OCI tenancy and maps security findings to infrastructure and access control controls in your active frameworks. Periodic syncs keep evidence current.
